She brings a strong foundation in audit and financial reporting, paired with a detail-driven approach and deep expertise in regulatory compliance.
Heather has led numerous complex audit engagements for school districts, charter schools, municipalities, and nonprofit organizations. She has overseen dozens of audits performed in accordance with generally accepted auditing standards and Uniform Guidance, consistently delivering accurate, high-quality financial statements while fostering strong, lasting client relationships.
Before founding the firm, Heather served as an Audit Director, where she managed intricate audit engagements and played a key role in staff development through trainings on audit readiness and best practices. Building on her audit experience, she served as Chief Controller for a charter school consulting firm, overseeing accounting operations, preparing comprehensive financial reports, developing budgets, and presenting financial results to boards and finance committees. This combination of audit and in-house financial leadership experience provides her with a well-rounded, practical perspective that directly benefits her clients.
Known for her proactive communication style, technical proficiency, and commitment to excellence, Heather works closely with organizations to improve financial transparency, strengthen internal controls, and ensure compliance with evolving accounting standards.
She earned a Bachelor of Arts in Business Economics with an emphasis in Accounting from the University of California, Santa Barbara.
